DPAC Celebrations in Ethiopia - 2011 The Ethiopian Interfaith Forum for Dialogue Development and Action (EIFDDA) organized a forum in Addis Ababa for the day whose proceedings were guided by the theme, “Stop Violence Against Children.” This was marked with prayers, presentations and discussions in which Orphaned and Vulnerable Children (OVC) were the key participants including religious leaders from the three main prominent religions in the area namely; Orthodox, Islam and Bahai. A remarkable expression of one participant summed up the day: “What we consider as simple will have a great impact on the lives of children. The way we penalize them, how we treat them in the house or school, the way we express our love and the words we use when handling them should be of great consideration to us… Children highly need the love of their family.” Last changed on Feb 19, 2012.
